It is not a major problem for me because my neighbor is aware of the growmedicates’ presence.
My dehumidifier’s drain fills up every 3-4 days, therefore I’m hoping to relocate it in the near future so that it can discharge into my watering reservoir.
The water is being purified using aboogie blue plus filter linked to an RV home and drawn from our main garden faucet.
I also elected to use tap water instead of RO water.
Watering with an air stone is what I’ll be doing for the next few weeks, I’m afraid.
I wanted to be able to monitor in real time from anywhere in the world using my mobile device or the web.

Expert growers assisted me in a situation where my common sense failed me – namely, that I had too many plants in a limited space.

To clarify, the bushier plants were B-witched from Ocean Grown Genetics, and the ones still in red solo cups were Obi Wan OG Kush; I finally removed a couple of clones from each plant and disposed of the original plants.
Because I had too many plants, I decided to break in the 4×8 flower tent for vegetable production.
After that, I turned on the lights and everything went smoothly from there!
I setup the flower tent as if it were a sealed room, initially with the AC unit inside.
Advice given to me by experienced growerssuggestedthat I remove the glass from the hoods as the dust buildup affects various aspects as well as “cooling” a HID bulb is not ideal.
I used this setup for the rest of the plants Veg growth which lasted until Jan 3rd 2017.
My electric bill went from 230 to about 450, which was expected, but still trying to keep it as low as possible (who isn’t?).
Also, the carbon filter and fan never have been used in this tent.
In the future I would be running this as a sealed room so I removed the fan and filter completely.
Light is very important and these bulbs performed well for only ~$20 per bulb from Vivosun, purchased through Amazon.
According to the soil feeding chart from fox farms website, I only used 1/4 strength, maybe even a tad less just to air on the side of caution.
– The plants were clearly on cruise control for a bulk of Veg.

Two four-wheel drive vehicles. I divided a 4×8 in half by covering the central support with white poly and inserting a piece of 2″ wide velcro in the center to separate the doors. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy two separate tents to accommodate the extra people. Because I placed the large exhaust fan on the flower side of the veg tent, I routed the exhaust from the veg tent into the top of the flower tent. The exhaust fan in the vegetable section is about a quarter the size of the other fans. The veg tent is barely warm enough to be comfortable. The entrances and access to the plant are made more difficult by dividing a 4×8 in half. Depending on whatever tent you choose, you will only save between $25 to $50. One possible advantage is as follows: 4×8 tents are often taller than 6×6 tents. My height is 80 inches. That’s a really great touch. There is plenty of headroom. The most significant disadvantage of using tents is that plants must be kept at a small size because the majority of them are just 6 feet tall. Having that extra 20″ of headroom is quite beneficial in the manufacturing process. Plants can grow to be considerably larger than they are now. If you can find single 4×4 tents that are the same height as each other, then get two of them. You may still park them directly next to one other in the same parking space. It was simple to install my DWC air pump in the veg tent and run air lines to the floral side of the tent. Using one or two tents, you may do the same effect. It doesn’t make a difference

How Many LED Watts Are Required Per Square Foot of Grow Space?

Disclaimer: Wattage is a legacy of the days of high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps (MH and HPS). The coverage area of a fixture or the utility of an LED grow light should not be determined by the wattage of the fixture or the LED grow light. Using wattage as a simple technique of estimating the optimal fixture size for your grow should be limited to the most basic of situations.
PPFD (and spectrum) are essential components of a good grow when used in conjunction with the appropriate spectrum for your plant type and development phase.
The term “wattage” in this article refers to the amount of electricity that is pulled from the wall, not to the amount of electricity that is drawn from the LEDs, which is normally the product of the maximum LED wattage multiplied by the number of LEDs specified by the manufacturer.
The LED grow light, on the other hand, may only consume 500 watts when connected to the wall.
It is critical to note that the amount of actual watts that you will use for your grow will vary based on the following factors:
- Plants that require a lot of light, such as tomatoes, peppers, and other vegetables
- Plants that require little light, such as herbs and leafy greens (such as basil lettuce)
- There is a significant difference in the quantity of light required by seedlings, vegetative, and blooming plants.
Watts per square foot
For blooming, the typical LED grow lamp consumes around 32 watts to cover 1 square foot. This is in stark contrast to a conventional HID lamp, which consumes 40 watts per square foot (assuming a 5′ x 5′ space or a coverage area of 25 square feet). The use of a HID in a 4′ x 4′ area will increase the power coverage to 62.5 watts per square foot (psf). (The energy savings that growers may expect from employing LED grow lights instead of high-intensity discharge lights is around 38 percent.) This energy savings figure solely includes the savings that farmers realize as a result of utilizing LED lighting fixtures.
For example, depending on the size of the setup and the temperature of the surrounding environment, less ventilation and air conditioning may be employed, or it may be altogether avoided.
More energy-efficient LED grow lights will consume fewer watts to produce the same amount of light that a less energy-efficient LED grow light would provide.
As a result, as previously said, wattage is not the most accurate tool for determining how strong of a grow light you require for a specific coverage area under consideration.
LED Wattage Chart Explanation
The wattages indicated below are based on the assumption that you are blooming your plants. If you’re growing vegetables, you might want to consider reducing your wattage by 50% because vegging plants only require roughly half the amount of light that flowering plants do. As is always the case, following the manufacturer’s advice is the best course of action.
