This past Sunday, a buddy and I went to Collective Governors Island for a relaxing night.
The tents are stunning, and it’s certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be camping and toasting s’mores over a campfire with the New York City skyline and Lady Liberty as a backdrop in the distance.
I’m looking forward to returning there next year!

Returning to civilization
It took only a few minutes to set up camp and put the pads and sleeping bags back into their respective pouches, which could be reduced with a tug on the adjustable outside straps. As we were leaving the campground, we quickly repacked the box that the cargo had arrived in and returned it using the FedEx label that had been supplied (the cost was included in the shipping fee). I was concerned that my pack smelled like coffee after the grounds from the trash bag I was carrying seeped into it, but Arrive made no notice of it (there are fees for late or significantly damaged items).
Common sense and a packing list will go a long way towards achieving this (REI has acamping checklistand one forbackpacking).
However, for those who camp just seldom or perhaps for the first time, Arrive provides a cost-effective option that is made more delightful by the use of lightweight, contemporary equipment.
