Camping

  • In all, there are four campgrounds in Camp Creek State Park and Forest, each of which offers picnic tables, grills, and fire pits. Mash Fork Campground is accessible all year and has 26 trailer/tent sites, nine of which are equipped with electrical hookups, eight of which are equipped with water and electric hookups, and nine of which are equipped with complete hookups. It has Wi-Fi access and a heated bathhouse that is accessible all year. An application for a campground reservation may be found here. The rustic tent sites at Blue Jay Campground, which is open from April to November, are available. Reservations are required for the Double C Horse and Rider Campground, which is available from April to October and is only accessible on horseback. It features four bunk type beds and a twin bed in the porch loft, which is decorated in a studio-style décor. Mattress protectors are included. It was in 1987 that Camp Creek State Park was established as part of the West Virginia parks system after 550 acres were set aside from the existing Camp Creek State Forest. Deer Crossing Road and Trail

Farley Ridge Road and Trail

Horse Bypass Trail

Starting across the paved road from the Mash Fork Picnic Shelter and at the beginning of the gravel road leading to Mash Fork Falls, this trailhead provides access to the Mash Fork Falls path. Because horses and riders are not permitted in the main picnic spots, this is a must for all of them. Mash Fork Falls Trail

Access to this steep picturesque path may be gained by parking at the playground adjacent to the basketball court and trekking up the hill. The Farley Ridge trail leads to the start of the Mash Fork Falls Trail, which is 8 miles long. 1 mile is the distance covered. Difficulty:Difficult

McCoy Road and Trail
