I’m really thrilled to share with you one of my favorite projects from my home, my son’s Camping Tent Bed, which is one of my personal favorites. • 12 screws
• Electric screwdriver
• 3/16′′ drill bit
• Hot glue gun
• 12 drywall anchors

E -Place the dowel into the mount, noting that it fits loosely and that there is a space between the two pieces.

F -Hold in place while marking the hole where the tightening screw will be inserted with a pencil.

Three sixteenths of an inch appeared to be a decent size; you don’t want it to be too large or too large in comparison to the tightening screw illustrated, otherwise it would wobble.

Drill directly into the mark you just created on the dowel with the drill bit.

In order to make the fit more snug, you can use some card board or poster board pieces now.

I used a couple of pieces of wood veneer that I had lying around, and I pressed it into place in a number of areas until it was snug.

This should be done for all three brackets and poles.

Lay the canvas down flat and mark the center with a pencil.

You will need a minimum of 10′′-13′′ of material hanging down in front of the tent (see 3 third picture).

This is where your dowel will begin, and this is where it suggests to hold it.

When you tighten the knot, there will be additional canvas to work with.

If you don’t want the additional showing, you may trim and hot glue the pieces together.

To collect the cloth and give it a more authentic tent appearance.

Using the rope, I threaded a piece through each hole, pulled it tight, and knotted it twice.

Needless to say, I didn’t take my time while measuring To assemble the front and top portions of the tent’s top front, I used the rope to connect the two pieces together.

So I positioned it where I wanted it and used my fingers to squeeze the top and front canvas together, creating holes through which I threaded the rope.

To make your tipi tent bed frame, you’ll need:

• The following materials are required: wood strips (pine) (in this case, we’ve used 6 strips measuring 28 x 40 x 240 cm, which may be adjusted to fit your child’s mattress)
• Paint in the favorite color of your emerging explorer
• Drill driver and wood drill bits
• Jigsaw
• Sandpaper
• Ten wood screws: eight 50 mm screws and two 100 mm screws
• Paint in the favorite color of your budding adventurer

Please keep in mind that our frame is designed to accommodate a mattress measuring 60 × 120 cm, but it can easily be modified to accommodate any child-sized mattress, such as those measuring 70 x 140 or 90 x 190 cm. You may even construct a tent bed on top of an existing bed frame to serve as a bed platform for a tent bed. Choosing the correct paint color for a child’s room might be difficult. How to make a tipi tent bedframe for your children

Step 1: Make sure you have the right measurements. Lay a wooden strip next to the mattress and use a pencil to mark out the length you’ll need for the frame (in this case, 120 cm). Measure the width you’ll need, making care to account for the strip widths (in this case, 60 cm + 2 x 2.8 cm = 65.6 cm) before cutting the strips. Step 2: Cut the wood and assemble the structure for the roof. To make the wood strips, start by cutting them with a jigsaw and lightly sanding the ends (if you’re using unfinished wood, you may want to smooth the edges as well).

• Pre-drill holes in the strips on each side using one of the shorter wood drill bits.
• After that, put the 50 mm screws into the four corners of the frame.
• This will prevent the head of your screw from protruding from the hole.
• Measure the height of your child’s bed and use that measurement to construct the ends of the tipi tent.
• With your pencil, mark the other three strips with the same dimension as the first.
• Utilize a bit that is somewhat broader than your screws, as the latter will need to be able to move about in the holes you have created.
• Screw the top and bottom ends together, then attach the strips to the frame at the bottom after pre-drilling (it’s fine if they aren’t completely symmetrical; that’s just how the wood works!).
• Step 4: Attach the tent frame crossbar to the tent frame.
• For this, position the uncut strip on top of the ends (as shown above) and use the pencil to mark the interior of the strip on the inside of the strip.
• Attach the crossbar with the bigger screw, drilling it into the end braces before attachment (as seen here).
• We opted to paint simply the top of the frame as a last touch to give it a finished look.

DIY Bed tent

My kid was turning three at the time, and I felt it was about time he got a big boy bed (he was big for his age and barely fit in his toddler bed). We had an old daybed that had been my husband’s when he was a boy, and I figured it wouldn’t be too difficult to transform it into a tent with a few simple modifications. I measured the height required at the apex, as well as the height required at the head and foot boards (for us not to hit our heads while tucking him in). It was beneficial to sketch a rough outline on the wall where it would be placed with white chalk (that later was easily wiped off).

• I finished putting it together and painting it that night, and I finished stitching it the next morning.

It was also necessary for me to stitch the tent flaps.

It was necessary to drape the two door pieces of cloth on the bed in order to figure out the length, breadth, and angle that would be required to match the tent opening.

Using fabric adhesive and buttons, I was able to staple the top portion of the tent into place just below where I would be attaching the edge trim (and buttons) (with hot glue).

Little bed or tent measurements have been provided since, unless your starting project had the same proportions as mine, my measurements will be of no value to you.

This is my attempt to describe the overall process of how I went about producing this piece.

My children like playing in there and using it as a makeshift stage.

Even though I may turn this into a bed tent for my daughter (who is now 8 months old), it has already been an excellent addition to our room and to the activities of my children during the day and at night.
