I have a 4×8 grow room . How many Plants do you recommend ?

If I wanted to grow 8 plants in this space, would I need to construct a grow tent or could I just utilize the entire room, lining the walls with mylar as a safety precaution? If you want huge, robust plants, only do 6-8 plants and let them 30 to 45 days of vegetative growth.

In my 4’x3′ tent, I have a 600w incandescent bulb as well as a 300w LED. In that large tent, you’d need at the very least two 600-watt lights, and two 1000-watt lights would be excellent for the job. Another alternative would be to divide the tent into two 4’x4′ sections, one for each side of the tent. One is equipped with a 400w MH for veg and another with a 600w HPS for blooming. You could fit as many plants as you wanted in there. If you have a small number of plants, caring for them will be easy
  2. But, the longer it will take for the area to fill in will be more difficult. As long as the area is sufficiently occupied, the yield will be consistent from year to year. If this is the case, two lights should be plenty, especially at 600 watts.

If you are going to use three lights, you may wish to use 400 watt bulbs.

The reading material is extensive, but if you put in the effort, you will save yourself a great deal of difficulty.

Reading the lumens and other such material is actually overkill for me at this point.

I’m curious as to what the temperature is in the basement.

Because if it’s too chilly, you should opt for an air-cooled light housing.

I settled on the Hydro gro because of the ease with which the nutrients could be mixed and the absence of mess.

Depending on how you put it up, I believe there is far less mess.

I’m not sure how many lumens are produced by each plant, though.

I feel that the plant will thrive with simply CFLs, and so, any HID bulb will, in my opinion, be a complete waste of time.

I wish I’d done it sooner.

Another point that I only lately realized was important. On Mondays, I also run 1K’s without the use of active air conditioning. As long as the mover is in place, you can pretty much let them grow into the lamp; but, when I install a blower on a 1K that does not have a mover, I have to keep around 16″ away. Not because of the heat (since the housing is cool), but because of the intense light wash. The intensity is concentrated in a single location. If you have a ceiling height of 7 feet, you’re good.

Just out of curiosity, if you’re going to go 1800 watts, you’re better off going with two 1ks instead of three, because three hoods will be a little crowded.

That all relies on your growing style and the size of your pot. I was able to put six five-gallon plants in a four-by-four tent, so you should be able to fit eight in a four-by-eight. I was watering every other day in the centre of the bloom with 3500 ml in the middle of the blossom.
