Oh, I see what you mean. For whatever reason, I was under the impression that the velcro seam was just above ground level. 6″ in height is not an issue. Once again, you’re on the list of contenders. To ensure that we can fit our two cots, two folding chairs, and a tiny folding table in the tent, I’ll have to get around to measuring the floor space and creating a mock-up of it.

The only way bugs could get inside the house is if someone left the door open or brought them in with them (on clothing, etc). My family is well-versed in the art of avoiding entering with lights on, in order to avoid attracting pests. The tent is delivered with the floor (which extends up the bottom of all four sides) securely fastened
- There are no tears in the Velcro on the floor. We also remove our shoes before entering (and place them on a towel just inside the door) and sweep the area every time we dismantle camp to keep it from becoming soiled. Except in the event of a spill, I can’t envision the necessity to remove the carpeting and flooring. A massive storm raged over the Lagunas in June, causing torrents of water and muck to saturate the area and completely destroying a number of campsites along the way. We hung in there (in the vehicle), then exited to a lovely evening and a campsite that was almost completely deserted. and our following walk-around revealed that many other campers had thrown their jumbled up tents in trash and left camp in search of a place to call home as well. Even though I could see that water had risen past the sheet that we typically drape below the tent, the tent itself remained dry on the interior. We remained another night, comfy and dry, and with a beautiful, peaceful campsite almost entirely to ourselves, which was wonderful. In summary, there are no issues with pests or water.

Renee and I sleep in a tent that can accommodate either 8 or 10 people (I can’t recall). Because we utilize air mattresses, it is ideal for accommodating all of our equipment as well as two children.

It meets all of my requirements, especially considering that we travel with anything from 2-3 dogs. We also recently purchased an Exped Megamat Duo LW+, which I haven’t tested yet but has the impression that it should be compatible with our existing setup. Prior to that, we utilized a queen air mattress and still had plenty of space on the sides. The matress did stretch from head to toe from wall to wall, and I expect the Exped to do the same in the same manner. It’s also convenient to have a “access door” on the bedroom side if I don’t want to enter through the other room. My CrewMax fits well in the back, thanks to the length of the provided bag, which allows a space between the bag and the tailgate when it is fully stuffed from front to rear. The sack is around 5 feet in height, according to my estimation. We also purchased a tarp to cover the footprint and more locking foam pads to cover the floor to provide additional cushioning and support for the furniture. We also purchased tire down anchors on their own.

- After much deliberation, I decided to acquire two T4s at that fantastic pricing. Set them both up in the yard for testing, and they survived a three-day rainfall (in South Carolina) with no troubles at all, according to the manufacturer. Then, once the storm passed, we went camping. The only drawback I could identify was that the tent’s windward facing side might collapse if there is a heavy wind blowing. As a result, it is the responsibility of the property owner to guarantee that you follow the guidelines. If you follow these instructions, there will be no problems. These tents are ideal for truck camping and for setting up a base camp that you can drive away from, as opposed to a roof top tent configuration. Temperatures at night were in the 30’s, despite the fact that we had nice bags rated for it. This was due to user mistake, not the tents’ fault. Because we will not be utilizing these for Everest basecamp as owners, the doors, windows, and zippers are all that you will require. Takedown and packing up are just as simple as setting up. It took me approximately five minutes to do it entirely by myself. I did order different stakes than the ones that came with it, and I put the better stakes in the tiny bag that comes with the tent bag for stakes and guidelines, replacing the ones that came with it with the better stakes. The entire family will enjoy this tent

Are Gazelle Pop-up Tents the Way to Go?
Hello, there! The following links are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase through one of these links, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. We are really grateful for your assistance! The recent purchase of a Gazelle pop-up tent by Charisse and Dennis has been life-changing for them. Face it: erecting a tent is a time-consuming and difficult task. This is especially true if you are traveling and changing campsites frequently. You may begin to dread the time-consuming and repetitive process of erecting and dismantling your camping equipment.
Pop-up tents, for example, may be the perfect solution for your needs in this situation.
Why a Gazelle Pop-Up Tent?
Pitching a tent with pop-up tents is a novel technique to save time and effort by eliminating the need for traditional methods such as tent pole repositioning, delicate balancing feats, and so on. True pop-up tents do not require tent poles and immediately inflate, or “pop up,” when they are ready to be used. Hybrid variants are also available, which include lightweight poles and provide slightly improved wind resistance. In comparison to setting up a regular tent, both of these solutions are far more convenient.
It can accommodate up to four people.
Gazelle T4 Tent: Specs and Description
The T4 Hub Tent in Alpine Green (orSunset Orange) provides a generous amount of living space for an outdoor tent of this size. It has a floor area of 61 square feet and a height of 78 inches. It is made of wood (6.5 feet). The T4 provides enough sleeping space for four individuals. With a weight of 30 pounds, it is likewise on the heavier side of things. There are various compartments and entrances in this tent. This organizer has four hanging mesh pockets on either side, two above mesh pockets, and one additional hanging on the ceiling, which makes it convenient to access supplies (and lights).
This allows you to control the airflow.
Furthermore, it is praised for its quick set-up time of 90 seconds.
Best Features of the Gazelle T4 Tent and Why We Love It
The fact that the Gazelle Tent is simple and quick to set up is a major selling factor, and for good reason as well. This construction can be raised without a hitch by one person, and assistance from another person makes the procedure much more efficient. It only took us 90 seconds to set it up, according to our records. Our favorite aspect is the ease with which it can be set up and taken down. The fact that the floor can be removed is a significant bonus, as I’m sure many of you can recall having to deal with dirt being tracked into your sleeping quarters.
Another advantage is the amount of room and height available, which allows individuals who are taller to stand up comfortably inside the T4 Hub.
As a point of comparison, Dennis is 6’1″ and has plenty of room to stand up comfortably! This eliminates the need for a separate changing tent, which makes changing clothing a breeze. Furthermore, the comfortable fit for up to four persons gets an A+ in our book.
Cons
Every product has its drawbacks, and the Gazelle Tent is no exception to this rule. Because this tent weighs thirty pounds, you won’t be able to take it very far from your vehicle. Despite the fact that it has straps, its vast proportions make it cumbersome and difficult to move about, even in its folded condition. Another disadvantage is that it is not waterproof in any manner. According to Dennis and Charisse’s Colorado camping trip, occasional drizzle caused water to leak through the tent’s roof during their stay.
Another disadvantage is that the T4’s fabric does not fare well on uneven terrain, which is a shame.
The tent itself must be protected from the elements by means of an additional tarp.
3-Season vs. 4-Season Tents
We communicated with the Gazelle Tent’s manufacturer through email to determine whether the T4 Hub is a 3-season or 4-season tent. They explained that it is a three-season show. Meaning it’s built to withstand typical/mild circumstances such as light rain (huh) and wind, among others. Shelters that are designed for four seasons, on the other hand, are stronger and more resistant. They are able to withstand more severe weather conditions:
Conclusion
In terms of performance, thisGazelle tent is no slouch and serves as an excellent alternative for more casual camping excursions with friends and family. However, if you plan on camping and/or dealing with more severe weather conditions such as rain and wind gusts, the T4 Hub is not the right choice for you. It is not suitable for use in the cold, but it performs admirably in milder climates. It is impossible to overstate how much we enjoy the T4 Hub’s convenience and pleasure, and we have no plans to quit using it anytime soon.
