  • Roll the tent around the pole bag in the direction of the doors to enable air to flow.
  • Pack the tent and stake bag together in a carry bag.
  • STEP 2:Stake the tent to the ground by putting stakes through the webbing loops at the tent’s side corners and securing the tent to the ground.
  • STEP 3: Extend the fiberglass tent poles by taking out each segment and inserting it into the metal ferrule connections on either end.
  • The main tent poles (A) are the two longest poles in the tent.

The fifth pole (C) will be utilized for the screenporch on the front of the house.

Make certain that the poles are threaded through the loop in the center of the roof.

STEP 5: Starting at the rear of the tent, put the pole ends into the pins that are positioned on the rings at the floor border of the tent, working your way toward the front of the tent.

Then repeat the process for the second main tent pole.

STEP 7:In order to build the side rooms, the sideroom poles must be located (B).

In order to offer additional support to the tent, guy ropes are attached to the fly and the front porch, respectively.

Making a loop at the opposite end of the guy rope with a slider (as illustrated) and placing the loop over the stake is simple.

The tent should appear exactly as depicted.

Two divider drapes are included with your tent, which may be connected to the inner ceiling and walls of your tent to divide it into three separate rooms.

Keep your body and face free of objects to limit the risk of damage to yourself and others.

Continue to maintain a solid grasp on the hook.

Ozark Trail 10 Person Tent With Screen Porch – 21×15 Extended Dome Tent

The Ozark Trail 10 person tent with screen porch is an outstanding huge dome-style family camping tent with three rooms and a screen porch, and it comes at an astounding price for the size and features it offers. The Ozark Trail Tent with Screen Porch sleeps ten people.

Key featuresbenefits

  • 315 ft2 (29.3 m2) of floor space
  • Three interior chambers divided by two moveable dividers
  • Two outside doors
  • Two windows plus two windows on the doors
  • Porch with a screen
  • Mud mat
  • Several large storage compartments
  • Port for electric wire
  • Sleeve for your media player that also serves as a gear loft

What is in the name – what type is this

Due to the fact that this is a new tent on the market, there appears to be some uncertainty over the nomenclature. It is referred to as a cabin tent in some videos, and you will see it in others. In reality, this is a tent constructed of fiberglass poles that form an unconventional dome shape that is extended on both sides. As you can see in the photo below, this is a true extended-dome style tent in the traditional sense. When used with theOzark Trail Cabin 10 tent, or with theOzark Trail 10-Person 3-Room Vacation Tent with Built-In Mud Mat, which is a smaller tent and does not include a screen porch, this tent should not be used together.

  1. The tent is displayed here without the fly, allowing the poles and the front screen to be seen clearly.
  2. All of the stakes are included in the price of the bundle.
  3. The tent has three rooms, two of which are on either side of the center chamber, as shown in the top photo above.
  4. The center chamber is located behind the porch, and it has two entrances, one on the front and one on the rear, which go into the central area.
  5. Because such a construction does not retain heat, it is not suitable for use in cold climates or in areas with high winds and rainfall.

The front porch

In order to provide an extra half-covered area, the front screened porch is equipped with a fly above and its sides are also partially shielded. However, the majority of the screened piece, including the front and both sides, is devoid of any panels at all. In this space, you may keep some equipment and it will be at the very least sheltered, but it is mostly a sitting area with seats and a table, as well as a cooking area with complete protection from flying insects. It is important to note that the porch does not have a floor; instead, you have a mud pad on the floor.

You’ll have lots of floor space within this behemoth of a building.

Who is it for

In addition to being a half-covered space, the front screened porch also has its own fly above it and its sides are also partially sheltered. However, the majority of the screened piece, including the front and both sides, is devoid of any panels whatsoever. In this room, you may keep some equipment and it will be at the very least protected, but it is mostly used as a sitting space with seats and a table, as well as a kitchen with complete protection from flying insects. The porch does not have a floor; the only thing you have on the interior of the porch is a mud mat.

I believe this is preferable because this is a sitting area, and you would not want to be responsible for the floor’s upkeep in this situation. Inside this massive structure, you have lots of floor space.

The construction

The following six fiberglass shock-corded poles are available to you:

  • There are two primary poles that support the center dome. 2 poles for extending the portions on the sides of the building
  • There is one pole that provides structure and support for the front screened porch
  • There is just one shorter brim pole, which is used to form a little awning above the rear entrance.

The fabric

They don’t give adequate information on the subject. Polyester taffeta and polyester mesh are used for the main body and the fly, while polyethylene is used for the floor. There is no information available on the waterproofness rating, but it should be enough for summer camping in any event. All of the windows and doors are made of mesh and waterproof panels, so you have complete protection when you need it, but you can leave them open for air only if you choose to keep them open.

Ventilation

There are no vents, however the main entrance may be left open even while the room is being rated, which will allow for sufficient air circulation, at least when the dividers are not in use, to ensure adequate ventilation. The mesh in the side rooms, on the other hand, extends all the way down to around 60 cm above the ground, providing ample opportunities for air to circulate beneath the fly. I do not believe you will ever have a significant condensation problem in this area.

The setup

It is not possible to open the main door while it is rating, however the main door can be left open while it is rating, which will allow for sufficient air circulation, at least while the dividers are not in place. The mesh in the side rooms, on the other hand, extends all the way down to around 60 cm above the ground, providing ample opportunities for air to circulate beneath the fly. In this area, I do not believe you will ever have a significant condensation problem again.

Ozark Trail 10 person tent with screen porch vs competitors

The Ozark Trail 10 person tent is shown here next to several other tents that are nominally in the same size range, but which are plainly not a match for this tent in terms of size due to their smaller footprint. Please visit the following websites for further information.

Final thoughts, rating, proscons

After reading my evaluation of the Ozark Trail 10 Person Tent with Screen Porch, you will discover that this is an amazing tent, both in terms of its floor space and its low cost. The three rooms provide a great deal of adaptability and organization for a variety of users and various types of equipment. Since I want to use this tent for summer camping in mild weather conditions, I would not subject it to any real testing in extremely hard circumstances. Despite the fact that it is an expanded dome tent, it is quite aerodynamic and can resist a great deal of pressure.

Each of the side rooms has only one window, which makes for a rather little space.

Take a look at how I rated it:

Ozark Trail 10 Person Tent With Screen Porch 21 x 15

  • The price is unbelievable
  • It appears to be of high quality
  • Extremely practical
  • Large surface space
  • Storage compartments and pockets
  • Simple setup

There are other more tents for 10 people detailed on the site, so if you want anything else, simply go to this text, which has a lengthy list of such tents. If you’re looking for something a little different with a screen area, this Ozark Trail 9 tent could be for you. Do you require a tent in the manner of a cabin? Check out the Core 10-person cabin tent if you have a problem.

As an alternative, you might want to choose this tent from the same manufacturer, the Ozark Trail 16′ x 9′ Modified Dome Tunnel Tent, which is a hybrid design, as the name implies. If you have any questions or comments, please post them in the comment box below. I hope you have a wonderful day.

5.0 stars out of 5 for this product Outstanding value for the money On July 5, 2019, a review was conducted in the United States. Let me begin by stating that we are a large family. Camping in our RV is something we do on a regular basis. Unfortunately, our RV only has enough for 6 people, and some additional grandchildren had expressed an interest in going camping this year. When we arrived at the campground, it was drizzling and everything was completely drenched. We waited for a brief window of drizzling rain to allow us to set up the tent, which we had just unpacked from the box.

  1. It was simple to assemble, and we like the fact that it had two divider panels.
  2. Even though each room had a separate entrance that may be utilized, the youngsters elected to just use the one in front of them instead, because the barrier wasn’t zipped up in the first place anyhow.
  3. A large adult can really stand up in the centre and to the sides of the structure till it drops since there was no leakage at all.
  4. The metal stakes, which didn’t really want to remain in place owing to the fact that we were on sandy grass soil, were the only drawbacks for us.
  5. During the week we went camping, it rained, blew, and was really chilly.

In the United States, this product was reviewed on June 29, 2018. Verified Purchase When it comes to the zippers, I would give this tent 5 stars if and only if they were not so difficult to open without getting trapped in the material. First and all, allow me to assure you that this is NOT a major issue; all you need to do is take your time and avoid opening it with haste (pardon my French) LOL. This tent is quite simple to put together on your own. The centre of the tent is approximately 7 feet in height.

  1. On either end, there is a zippered door that may be opened.
  2. In the centre of the tent, I usually put up my table and under-storage space for the night.
  3. Make certain that the tent and fly material are waterproofed, and that the seams are re-sealed for further protection.
  4. The rain fly fits neatly and tightly, preventing water from entering the tent during a typical rainstorm.
  5. Once again, this is a really durable tent.

It took us 15 minutes to put up the tent according to the directions, which was just enough time before the rain started pouring once more.

Although we anticipated that the dividers would zip up within the tent and effectively split it into three separate rooms, the two dividers are really merely hanging in between, resulting in the tent being divided into three separate rooms.

There was plenty of space inside for three queen-size air mattresses and one twin bed (which we added after another grand kid got dropped off).

You can even plug up an extension cord for power inside.

In contrast, the yellow plastic stakes have ripples in them and hold the rain cover tightly in place at the top.

However, we had to award it all of the stars because it did a fantastic job of living up to its promise.

This tent is enormous!

It’s just fantastic!

The rain fly did an excellent job of protecting me.

Pay attention to which windows you have open at all times.

Overall, I’m quite pleased with this!

On April 27, 2019, a review was conducted in the United States.

On my most recent trip, I was able to put it up in around 30 minutes with an 8-year-old.

We reside in Texas, but we take camping excursions to New Mexico every year.

If there is a chance of wind, this is something I would highly recommend.

When it comes to setting up the interior, we divide the space into two rooms.

Having this tent is like having a modest residence in the middle of the forest.

On June 22, 2016, a review was conducted in the United States.

When I got it, I discovered that they don’t produce one in that particular size anymore.

Even though I didn’t want to retain it, it turned out to be a fantastic tent with enough of space for the entire family; I only didn’t have the little additional space for shoes and other belongings due to the size difference.

The rain came down for a couple of hours on two separate days, but we were completely dry in the tent. I really adored it!

4.0 stars out of 5 for this product AWESOME tent with PLENTY of space. On June 23, 2016, a review was conducted in the United States. I had bought the tent thinking it was marketed as a 20 X 11, which turned out to be an error that was quickly fixed. When I got it, I discovered that they don’t produce one in that particular size anymore. I needed the extra foot to allow for three queen-sized air mattresses to be accommodated without touching the tent’s edges. Even though I didn’t want to retain it, it turned out to be a fantastic tent with enough of space for the entire family; I only didn’t have the little additional space for shoes and other belongings due to the size difference.

I really adored it!

There are also EZ-up tents that are developed specifically for people who are not comfortable putting up tents. Please keep in mind that these tents do not include a footprint, which is a sheet that is placed below the tent to prevent water from entering from underneath. Any form of nylon tarp, on the other hand, should do the work.

Issues with Ozark Trail Tents

It appears that the most prevalent criticism about these tents is that they are not totally waterproof, which is supported by customer evaluations. During a strong downpour, they may have leakage around the seams. Consequently, they are not the ideal option for those who camp in harsh weather conditions such as torrential rain or blizzards. There are a handful of things you can do to improve the insulation of a tent from this brand against the weather, as described below. Before you use the tent, you should spray it with waterproofing spray on the exterior of it.

Once the tent is put up, you should verify that all of the zippers are closed snugly, including those on the windows and porch, if any are there. All rights retained by LoveToKnow Media, Inc. in the year 2022.

Ozark Trail 10-Person Family Tent Product Review

Designed for large family camping vacations and as a primary basecamp tent, the Ozark WT172115 Trail 10-Person Family Tent is a flexible, roomy tent that works well for both. The construction of this 10-person tent is exceptional. There are 21 feet of length, 15 feet of width, and six feet of height to this structure. There are two wall dividers that can be used to form three distinct rooms, which are ideal for anyone who wants to have a little bit of personal space. It’s easy to accommodate two or three queen-sized air mattresses inside this vehicle.

OZARK’s 10 person tent is composed entirely of waterproof polyester taffeta and polyester mesh, with the floor coated with polyurethane to ensure maximum protection.

However, the tent comes with a rainfly that can be rolled back to provide for additional exposure to the open windows and top ventilation.

Additionally, there are ground vents all around the tent to allow for some air to come from the ground.

There’s also a little compartment on the front wall where you can store shoes to keep the mosquitoes out of your house.

The fiberglass pole frame is both durable and simple to assemble, making it ideal for beginners.

One of the most appealing aspects of the OZARK Trail Family Cabin Tents is that they come in a variety of sizes, patterns, and colors, making them quite versatile.

They are also available in a variety of colors and layouts, ranging from a more flat and straight plan to the addition of screened patios and vestibules to your home.
