For cooking, some parks have fire rings with grills, but it’s a good idea to verify ahead of time or bring your own grill grate, as some parks just provide open campfire rings.
The majority of parks feature stone dust-based camping pads; the Assateague camping grounds, on the other hand, are sand-based. For your comfort, we recommend that you bring a foam sleep pad or an inflatable pad/mattress with you.

Is the length of the camping mat inclusive of the length of the tow vehicle? The measurements of the camping pad area are for the placement of camping equipment (tents), and do not include the length of the driveway. Will I be required to transport water in a container? Yes, you will be required to carry a container with you. Each camping circle has access to potable water, which is either inside or close by. What is the maximum number of guests I can accommodate at my campsite? There is a limit of six persons at a time (children count as people).

When making a reservation for a campsite that can accommodate RVs, do not assume that you will be provided with amenities such as full hook-ups.
Also, keep in mind that your tent may be located next to an RV or another vehicle.
Despite the fact that the campground does not have access to WiFi, several nearby state parks do.
What kind of cell coverage will I have in the campground?
There are two state parks in western Maryland where cell service is currently limited to non-existent in the campground – Herrington Manor State Park (depending on your service provider) and New Germany State Park (depending on your service provider).
What is your policy on alcoholic beverages?
To maintain and ensure a safe, family-oriented outdoor recreational experience for all park guests, the Maryland Park Service regulates the consumption of alcohol in State Parks.

All Maryland State Parks are “trash-free!” What does this mean to you?
In the campgrounds, you will find dumpsters for campers to dispose of trash.

Are there wild animals in the area?
At Assateague there are wild ponies.
This means keeping food in locked coolers, sometimes with even using a bungy cord, and in Western Maryland, using bear food lockers at the campsites.

How do I find out about events at the park such as nature walks or kids’ programs?
Be sure to also check with park staff or on the bulletin board when you arrive at the park for additional programs not listed on the website.
Gravel pad areas vary from park to park, an average size is approx 20×20; some sites are smaller and can only accommodate 1-tent/1-vehicle; and other parks camping pad area are 24×24 or larger.
Make sure all camping equipment is on the camping pad and not on the surrounding area.
I see there is fishing offered at your park.
If you’re planning on fishing at one of MD’s state parks, and you are 16 years of age or older, a valid fishing license is required.
Do I need to pay the daily entrance fee if I am camping?
Be sure to display your camper hang tag in your vehicle.
What happens if we arrive after check-in time?
At these locations, park staff will verify your name, the number in your party, confirm holders of golden age/other passes, and provide gate codes for re-entry into the park.

Black Desert players are up in arms about a very nice (and very expensive) tent

It has no expiration date, is less expensive to fix, provides longer-lasting buffs, and player testing has proven that it grants access to every single villa perk with any villa invitation.
