What Are The Dimensions Of A Eureka Copper Canyon 12 Tent

Eureka Copper Canyon 12 Tent Review – Very Comfortable & Livable Tent

It is the subject of this Eureka Copper Canyon 12 Tent review, which is a freestanding family camping tent with two doors and two rooms that is quite livable and comfy. The Eureka Copper Canyon 12 Tent is a 12-person tent.

Key featuresbenefits

  • It is a cabin-style tent that is freestanding, has two doors and two rooms, and a total of six windows. It has an electric cable port, is a great packed size, and has two gear lofts.

What type of tent is this

Designed in the cabin design, the Copper Canyon 12 is the largest tent in this extremely popular series from Eureka. It is also the most expensive. This indicates that it is extremely tall, measuring 7 ft (213 cm) at its tallest point, and this characteristic is shared by all of the tents in this series; for example, the smaller tent Copper Canyon 6 from the same series measures 7 ft (213 cm) at its highest point. This is a camping tent that is rather hefty, and it is intended for use during the summer camping season in extremely mild weather conditions.

The tent is displayed without a fly and with the poles and construction clearly visible.

Please keep in mind that this tent is featured in my list of the top 12 person camping tents.

Who is it for

The floor space of 168 ft2 (15.6 m2) is large enough to support the indicated number of 12 persons sleeping on the floor without feeling cramped. However, in order to feel comfortable with this, you would need to reduce the number of users to roughly 7 – 8 at the most. Please keep in mind that there are no covered storage areas outside; everything must be kept inside. The tent comes with a divider, which allows you to divide it into two independent chambers, each with its own entrance door on the opposite side of the tent.

The structure is made of mesh on the ceiling and has wide windows and doors with windows, so it has excellent ventilation.

Because the walls are practically vertical, you may utilize cots and bunk cots that will fit well against the straightened walls of the room.

Although the packed size is fantastic (28 × 10 inches (71 x 25 cm), the tent is substantial and will require a car to transfer to your camping location; nevertheless, it may also be transported on a motorcycle.

Comfort, materials, and constructions

Due to the fact that it is a very tall tent, you are able to stand in any area of it, including the corners. The two doors and large windows in this structure simply add to the overall coziness of the space. You should not have any condensation concerns because there is a lot of mesh around to allow for proper air circulation. But keep in mind that there is no vestibule or porch in this building, so everything must be kept inside. So if this is a concern, you should look at tents with screen porches, such as thisOzark Trail 10 tent or thisNorthwest Territory 10 tent, before purchasing.

The divider divides the space into two independent chambers, each of which can hold the largest queen-size bed. There is a zippered port for the power cord that may be accessed. This is a freestanding piece of furniture.

Weather resistance

You have a single-layer tent that is the majority of the time, with a minimum fly that simply covers the ceiling. Because the entire construction is so tall and boxy, don’t expect it to perform well in high winds. The fabric used in this tent is polyester with a 1200 mmPUwaterproofness rating, which is the same across the whole tent. In other words, this is sufficient for a typical summer camping trip. The floor is bathtub-style, which is a nice feature to have because it reduces the amount of seams at ground level.

These apertures are supplementary rain- and privacy-protecting panels that have been added.

Poles

The frame is made out of vertical steel poles in addition to the fiberglass roof poles. As a result, the weight of this tent, which weighs more than 17 kg, may be attributed to its three different diameters of 12.7, 16, and 19.5 millimeters.

Other features

The tent has six pockets as well as two gear lofts, which are useful for storing items out of the way. You’ll also find a power cable port in this location. There are also storage areas for gear. There are six storage compartments in this area.

Setup

It is preferable to put up this tent with the assistance of a partner, and in this case it will be ready in around 15 minutes or less. There is color coding in this section to assist you with the procedure. Plan on taking it down in around 10 minutes. Please watch the following video from Eureka to learn more about the entire series:

Specifications

  • It can accommodate 12 people and weighs 38 lb 12 oz (17.58 kg). It measures 14 x 12 ft (427 x 366 cm)
  • The total floor area is 15.6 m2, and the area per person is 14 ft2 (1.3 m2). The peak height is 7 ft (213 cm). The packed size (L x D) is 28 x 10 in (71 x 25 cm)
  • And the peak height is 7 ft (213 cm). There are two doors, six storage compartments, and two gear hammocks.

Final thoughts, rating, proscons

In conclusion to my Eureka Copper Canyon 12 Tent review, I would like to emphasize once again that this is a really pleasant tent, but only if the number of people using it is reduced to a reasonable level. The big ceilings and large windows will make you feel like you’re at home. I would only use it for summer camping since I do not believe it is capable of withstanding a great deal of pressure from any direction. If you want a smaller version of this sort of tent, this 8-person model may be of interest.

  • It has two rooms and is a great packed size
  • It is freestanding and very livable.

Cons

You can go elsewhere if you still want anything else, as our website is solely dedicated to family camping tents. 5.0 stars out of 5 for this product Sold three-season tent with a few ingenious tiny elements On October 27, 2020, the United States will conduct a review. We purchased this for our family of four (two children and two adults), and it does not feel either too large nor too little. The unit has been up for about three weeks total since we purchased it, having been set up twice previously. It was not necessary to check the paid retail price from an Amazon vendor. As a three season tent, it does an adequate job of keeping the wind and rain out (with the provided rain fly), but on hot days, you can really open it up and let in plenty of fresh air (without being bitten by bugs!).

  1. The features are excellent, including a divider, many compartments, two power port zipper cuts, a door awning, a lantern hook/roof basket, floor hooks for a covering, and a bag that is genuinely practical.
  2. There are around four possible configurations for the window (e.g.
  3. While in either position, you may also adjust the straps to keep it close against the tent wall or slack for enhanced ventilation (without sacrificing privacy or light leakage) according on your preference.
  4. To put it another way, the tent feels incredibly snug, as if they’ve just finished a tent that is exceptionally well-designed, with thoughtful features throughout that you don’t really appreciate until much later.
  5. It’s something I’d buy again.
  6. Because sometimes items are just solid, I’m afraid I don’t have enough negative or critical information to give to make this review more useful.

It’s far too huge. However, despite the fact that the footprint is expected to be roughly 13x10ft, due to the form of the tarp, it sticks out slightly on both sides, allowing water to seep under it. A tarp of around 12 feet by 9 feet might do for this purpose, should you be on the lookout for one.

A tarp of around 12 feet by 9 feet might do for this purpose, should you be on the lookout for one.

We purchased this for our family of four (two children and two adults), and it does not feel either too large nor too little.

It was not necessary to check the paid retail price from an Amazon vendor.

It might probably withstand some legitimate winter weather, but depending on the wind, chilly air can seep between the rain fly and the roof (though not rain).

The most appealing feature, though, is how adaptable all of the windows and doors are.

half open/2x diagonal open/full open), and you always get the problem screen regardless of which one you choose to use.

The floor is completely upturned and has proven to be watertight (even when we had water trapped beneath the tent, which was an oversight).

It’s just a slew of “insignificant particulars.” It’s a minor detail, but you’d notice it if it wasn’t there, like the Velcro on the doors in addition to the two zippers, or the toggles on the divider that allow you to utilize it in a variety of ways.

It’s something I’d recommend as well.

To add to the fun, I purchased a tarp for the bottom that was exactly 13 by 10 feet in size.

However, despite the fact that the footprint is expected to be roughly 13x10ft, due to the form of the tarp, it sticks out slightly on both sides, allowing water to seep under it.

tent to this Eureka!

A rip in the bottom of my tent has appeared since I returned from my three-night camping vacation, which I had recently completed.

It was actually only for three nights that I slept in it.

Eureka!

Now I’m feeling a little let down.

4 PersonVine is a style.

-It took around 10 minutes for two workers to take everything down.

• There is plenty of room for standing and moving about.

-A zippered opening allows cables to be brought into the tent.

-Unzipping, zipping, and tucking the front door to the side is simple.

-The roof features a mesh window that looks out into the sky, which would be perfect for stargazing at night.

My husband and I haven’t put together a tent in at least 15 years, if not more.

It has large windows, a roof view, a power cable opening, and a ceiling height that is above average.

Overall, we were really pleased with our tent and are looking forward to putting it to use this spring.

Good: -For two individuals, the setup took roughly ten minutes.

-When utilized with the ground anchors, the tent appeared to be secure on a windy day.

– Based on where they are placed, mesh pieces of cloth with anchors serve as storage at the roof top or around the window area of the home.

Excellent for bringing electricity into the tent.

– The roof may be equipped with an optional cover that repels water.

The bad: -Even though we placed a tarp under the tent, the floor was still quite thin.

This tent was quite simple to assemble.

The tent floor was thin and weak, which seemed unusual for something that would be subjected to the most abuse.

The review will take place in the United States on August 2, 2020.

Although we were in the tent for three to four hours, there is not a drop of water on the top, bottom, or sides since we slept through a three to four hour rainfall.

This is an excellent choice for two adults going on a three-night car camping trip.

6 Persons in a Style Purchase that has been verified As for whether or not this actually keeps me dry when it rains, I’ll have to wait and see because the windows are only attached with Velcro.

It’s actually quite simple to set up, unless you’re particularly short or suffer from arthritis in your hands.

Getting the fly over the top, as demonstrated in the video on how to set this thing up, is not an easy feat.

I had to use an extension pole, which I usually use when I’m painting, to reach the ceiling.

If it works, it will make the process much simpler and faster. In addition, if I have to set it up in the rain, it will help to keep things dry.

5.0 stars out of 5 for this product *It is not recommended in the wind or rain. On July 31, 2020, the Canadian government will review the document. 12 Persons in a Style Purchase that has been verified We placed an order for the LX 12 person Tent, and it was delivered today! Our camping vacation is in a few days, so we decided to set it up and take a look before heading out. We are overjoyed beyond words. It’s the right size, and the set-up was simple and quick – nothing difficult about it! We followed a step-by-step tutorial on the internet (which was quite helpful) and had no problems.

4.0 stars out of 5 for this product Tent for Car Camping On August 15, 2020, a review will be conducted in Canada.

Excellent overall performance.

It’s great because you can stand up almost anywhere in the house.

There are a few additional minor enhancements.

I’m an old lady who can do everything alone, with the exception of flying the tent over the tall tent, which is easier with assistance.

I like the wide windows, but I don’t like the new design of the toggles that open and close the windows.

And that is the extent of my dissatisfaction.

On February 28, 2021, a review will be conducted in Canada.

The posts are strong, and the zippers are of excellent quality.

Due to the fact that the fly is removable and the ceiling is screen-covered, you may sleep outside beneath the stars if the weather is dry.

There are several hooks for attaching items inside, as well as a number of compartments, making it simple to keep your goods organized.

Finally, their customer service is outstanding; if you have any queries or have any difficulties, they will stand by their product warranty.

4.0 stars out of 5 for this product Excellent tent, but with poor instructions.

6 Persons in a Style Purchase that has been verified I have the LX8 and have only used it once so far, so please don’t rely on my opinion too much.

There was enough room in there for a pack n’ play as well as a double size mattress, and there was still enough for another double size mattress.

On one of the nights, it rained fiercely, and we had no water in the tent since we had no way to get out.

I highly recommend that you follow the YouTube assembly instructions before travelling to your camp site in order to make the building process as simple as possible.

Eureka! Copper Canyon LX 6 Tent Review

Eureka! is a brand-new model for 2020. We love the Copper Canyon LX Tent series, which is one of our favorite cabin-style tents – and it’s included in our annual list of the finest camping tents. It is available in four distinct sizes: a 4-person, 6-person, 8-person, and even a large 12-person version of the Copper Canyon LX trailer. The designs and materials used in all four versions are very similar. The maximum inside height in all four tents is 7 feet, which is more than enough height for the majority of adults.

  2. The Copper Canyon LX 6 Tent is one of our favorite cabin-style family camping tents, and it comes in six different colors.
  3. Fiberglass poles are fed through sleeves in the roof and are arranged in an X pattern to support the roof.

Lots of Windows

Eureka! is a brand-new vehicle for 2020. We love the Copper Canyon LX Tent series, which is one of our favorite cabin-style tents – and it’s included in our annual list to the finest camping tents. It is available in four distinct sizes: a 4-person, 6-person, 8-person, and even a large 12-person version of the Copper Canyon LX tent. Both the design and the materials of all four versions are very identical. All four tents have a maximum inside height of 7 feet, which is sufficient for most persons.

The Eureka!

A cabin-style family camping tent, the Copper Canyon LX 6 Tent is one of our favorites.

In an X pattern, fiberglass poles are fed through sleeves in the roof and serve to support the roof.

It is this proven design that allows for a cabin-style tent with almost vertical sidewalls and a tall internal height that allows most people to stand up comfortably in the cabin.

New and Improved Rain Fly

As part of the new 2020 Copper Canyon LX line of tents, Eureka! has extended the rain flap beyond the door to prevent rain from entering the tent when people are entering and exiting. Additionally, this addon allows you to leave the front down window open while it’s pouring if you want the most ventilation possible. The rain fly protects the mesh ceiling of the tent and provides enough covering to keep the majority of rain out. The rain fly should be large enough to cover the whole top of the tent and reach all the way down the sides of the tent, if you’re searching for a hard-core tent to withstand heavy rain and, in especially, wind.

In other words, for summer camping, the Eurekaroof-focused !’s rain fly allows all of those amazing windows to perform their jobs while also protecting you from the elements for the vast majority of the camping season.

Which Size Tent Should I Choose?

Eureka’s sizing is significantly better than that of most family camping tents, but it’s important to remember that most camping tents are designed to accommodate people sleeping on single-person sleeping pads or air mattresses that are typically 24 inches or less in width, as opposed to larger air mattresses. The LX 6, for example, has a floor area of 10′ by 10′. That implies that you can put 5 sleeping bags on one end of the floor if you give each sleeper 24 inches of space to move about. You may position another sleeping bag at the feet of the other campers — with that individual receiving a 3′ by 10′ rectangle, most likely at the door — because most people don’t take up more than 7′ of area in length.

If you want to utilize larger and gigantic air mattresses or cots, you should visualize or draw out your arrangement on a piece of paper first to ensure that you get the correct size mattress or cot.

This is the eight-person variant.

The Copper Canyon LX Tent Floor has the following dimensions:

  • The sizing of the Eureka Tent is far better than that of most family camping tents, but it’s important to remember that most camping tents are designed to accommodate individuals sleeping on single-person sleeping pads or air mattresses that are typically 24 inches or less in width. As far as we’ve seen, while a 6-person tent can accommodate up to six people, we’ve found that it’s most comfortable with 4-5 people. If you want to utilize larger and gigantic air mattresses or cots, you should visualize or draw out your arrangement on a piece of paper first to ensure that you get the correct size air mattress or cot. There are six of you in this edition. The 8-person version of the game is also available for purchase. The 12-person version of the game is also available online. Tent Floor Dimensions for Copper Canyon LX:

Stash PocketsGear Loft

However, while the Eureka! Copper Canyon LX 6 has multiple stash compartments and has two gear lofts, there are no stash pockets near the floor of the backpack. This means that if you’re sleeping on a sleeping pad or an air mattress, you won’t have a convenient place to put your phone – you’ll have to put it somewhere high up. Is this a huge thing, or what? No, not at all. It’s just a strange, inconsequential irritation. Because the Copper Canyon LX tents allow you to stand up, the high stash pockets are readily attainable when standing if you sleep on cots.

Stakes that are too small, but a well-built tent with a good design.

Mesh ceiling in the inside. Take note of the loop for hanging the lamp. Tent poles, tent body, and rain cover are included. A handy guy line pocket has been included into the design. One of the most impressive Copper Canyon LX characteristics is the windows.

The Verdict

The Eureka! moment has arrived.
