35 Funny Camping Memes That Make Us Laugh Out Loud

Camping. It’s one of those things that you either adore or despise depending on your perspective. If you enjoy it, then you should go all in. You like spending time over a campfire, taking in the fresh air, and being surrounded by nature as much as anybody. If you are not a lover of camping, you may find it unusual that modern humans have all of the conveniences of home at their disposal. and then venture out into the bush, where you will be less than comfortable. Nevertheless, some campers would argue that “why not enjoy the luxuries of home?”

No Judgement Here, Just Laughs!

Those that camp are well aware that there is a large variety of campers available, as well as a diversity of camping destinations. There are many who enjoy trekking with their backpacks for days at a time and sleeping out beneath the stars or in a popup tent along the route. That’s definitely one of the most effective methods to come in touch with the natural world. Then there are some that travel by RV. Those who travel in enormous recreational vehicles (RVs) that are equipped with every amenity imaginable, like RV internet, comfortable mattresses, several televisions, and even interior fireplaces.

With so many various types of RVs available in a variety of forms and sizes, there is something for every sort of camper out there to choose from.

But, well, who cares?

Tents Collapsing, Bears, Campfire Fiascos…It Happens!

As someone who grew up in a camping household, I’m well acquainted with the many various ways to enjoy RV travel and camping activities. As children, my family and I spent practically every weekend during the summer months camping someplace in my native state of Idaho – which has a plethora of very spectacular wilderness areas to pick from. And I’ve completed every task. Camping in a tent, a truck camper, a campervan, a trailer, or a huge motorhome are all viable options. My camping experiences have included struggling to put up a tent in the middle of the desert, having tents collapse on me, as well as awakening to find my sleeping bag completely saturated with water from a puddle.

Then there are the recreational vehicles.

But even we have moments when we look at a setting and say, “Wait, that’s a touch overdone.” “Wow, that RV is a lot nicer than my house!” etc.

As a result, we thought it would be amusing to compile a list of some of our favorite humorous camping memes that make us laugh despite the fact that we know they’re true.

Camping Memes That Sum Up Our Thoughts Perfectly!

I have to say that I am a huge fan of this meme! First and foremost, Jim Gaffigan is a hoot. And I can just image him saying this in his snarky tone, which I think is hilarious. I often wonder whether Josh had this impression of me when I used to talk about camping when I was younger. THIS — a thousand times over! For us, this is the most accurate Meme of them all. On our walks around the RV parks with Hana, Josh and I have a running joke about exactly this situation. In addition, because she is so endearing, people are always approaching her to pet her.

  1. in addition to which the crap merely hangs out with us.
  2. This is a true tale.
  3. But it’s impossible not to giggle when you imagine a group of people gathered around a microwave with drinks.
  4. In addition, I enjoy a good snarky bear meme.
  5. I’ve been there!
  6. In addition, the baby’s judgment expression is adorable.
  7. Furthermore, I can clearly recall some of my relatives using this precise phrase with a great deal of sarcasm: “Go camping, they said.” “It’ll be entertaining, they said.” What is it about campfires that makes them so difficult to start when you need them?

When we can get a good campfire going, we very much feel the same as shown here!

LOL – this expression says it all well!

The information is correct to the centimeter.

However, if you are too late to get one, it will be a catastrophe.

There are several various variations of this quote going around the internet, but it is absolutely correct!

It’s mind-boggling how something so insignificant and basic can be so pricey.

This is the EXACT expression Josh and I make to each other when we realize that we have forgotten to buy marshmallows for s’mores.

It’s a depressingly depressing moment.

Sometimes I’m just out for a stroll, looking about, taking a path here and there, and then I realize I should probably complete the damn thing.

It does happen.

While living in our RV, I can’t tell you how many times I wished I had a large bathtub to soak in at night.

I understand that these are first-world problems.

Congratulations to him for making it work and ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

When you’re out camping, remember this true story and the great counsel you’ll get from it.

They are retired and have traveled much in their recreational vehicle throughout the years.

So there you have it!

With this caption, I have a strong sense that something monumental is going to take place.

Well, what else can one say?

When Josh and I were in the market for our first house, we could definitely relate to how you were feeling.

Rain!

The tent always appears to have some sort of concealed hole in it, which eventually turns into a small lake — and this happens in the middle of the night when you are sleeping, no less.

Imagine a nice horse attempting to snuggle up in your tent with you.

This right here completely summarizes everything.

And I’d be paralyzed in place, wondering what the hell I was supposed to do.

Due to my extended family’s affinity for hunting, this one always makes me chuckle, especially when I think about all the hunting stories I’ve heard throughout the years.

Every time.

When I was little, my grandpa used to say that “smoke followed beauty.” However, my hypothesis is that it just follows any warm-blooded human who appears to be moving around in order to avoid the smoke!

This is an outstanding bar setup, and one that should be taken into consideration when hiring staff.

How much bonfire scent can be absorbed into your clothes, and for how long it may remain there, is beyond my comprehension!

Hahahaha!

All of the comforts of home are with us, and I’m sure some of the more tough campers out there smugly speak trash about us RVers, but that’s just the way it is.

As you take a glance around, you find that items are out of place, despite the fact that you believed everything was well stored.

What was your experience like?

A look on my poor dog’s face that says, “What on Earth are you doing?!?” comes to me immediately.

This is a true tale!

We all know someone who might reconsider their camping plans if they saw their campsite set up in this manner.

A tent will never, ever, ever be able to be properly stowed away in its bag.

What’s with the constant feeling of being slightly overweight?!?

Everyone, even Josh. I’m not a big lover of television in general, but I’ve never understood why someone would want to sit in front of the television when they are out in nature, surrounded by such beauty and peace. Finally, this is what you see right now. Do you consider this to be “roughing it”?

Finding and Setting Up a Campsite – Camping (U.S. National Park Service)

Make sure you are aware of the campground’s facilities and rules and regulations before you arrive. Is there access to potable water at this location? Are campfires permitted, and if so, where? What is the greatest number of people that can be accommodated at a site? Is there a shower or a toilet with a flushing mechanism? If so, do you have to keep your food in a specific manner? Is it necessary for me to make a reservation?

Site SelectionRegistration

Even though every campsite is a little bit different, the overall process is very much the same. There are specific campsites in campgrounds that correlate to a number or letter (or some combination of letters and numbers). To mark the check-out date for the present tenants of the campsite in frontcountry campsites (campgrounds that can be reached by automobile), a little card or piece of paper is often fastened to a post. Permits for backcountry campsites (campgrounds you trek to) are often in the form of a tag that you wear on your backpack while hiking and on your tent when camping.

Before you travel, visit the website of your chosen park to find out about admission prices and pass requirements.

Passes may be purchased in person at the majority of parks or online. Frontcountry campsites are identified by a site number and a tag that indicates whether or not the site is inhabited, as well as how long the site has been occupied. Yellowstone National Park is the site of this photograph.

Which Campsite is the Best?

Given that most national park camping takes place in designated campsites, choosing the best location for you is mostly a matter of personal preference. However, there are a few aspects to consider whether you’re frontcountry or backcountry camping.

  • Keep an eye out for potential risks such as flash floods, lightning, wind, and downed trees or branches in the area surrounding your campground. If possible, avoid staying on ledges or high peaks where wind and lightning might cause problems
  • This is especially true in the wilderness. Consider looking above
  • If there are any dead branches in the sky, you should avoid camping beneath them. Which do you prefer: being close to the bathroom or shower house for convenience, or being farther away, where it’s quieter and darker
  • Do you require a place to park your RV? Whether or whether you require electricity hook-ups, please specify.

How to Lay Out a Campsite

The majority of frontcountry campsites are clearly marked. The majority of frontcountry campsites will offer a parking spot, a fire ring or grill, and a picnic table, among other amenities. You may be able to reposition the picnic table a little, but for the most part, the first significant decision you’ll have to make when you arrive at your campground is where to set your tent and cooking station for the night. After setting up your tent, walk around the perimeter of your campground, identifying the ideal positions for your cooking station, and dining station.

Maintain a safe distance between all food and rats and other animals.

When there are no designated campsites, it is up to you to select a suitable location within the camping area that has been established by the park.

  • If there is a lightning storm, you should be protected and away from the middle of a field, as well as away from the edge of cliffs. Keep away from any dead trees that may fall. It is best to stay away from ravines that may flood.

When camping in bear country, keep these things in mind:

  • Keep a distance of 200 feet between a cooking area and a sleeping area. Food should always be kept at least 200 feet away from your sleeping quarters. Do not sleep in the same clothing that you wore while cooking. Check the park’s rules and regulations for the correct storing of food. Many parks ask visitors to bring a bear box or bag.

The best placement for your tent is on level ground, but not on a sloping slope, and at a safe distance from your fire ring and food preparation area. It is possible that the sparks from your fire can melt holes in your tent (or perhaps ignite it entirely), and the stakes and lines that fall off your tent may create tripping hazards, especially if they are in a high-traffic area. Make your camp before it becomes dark. Learn about the landscape while it’s still light. If you must leave camp after dark, remain in places that you have already visited during the day, go with a buddy, and carry a flashlight.

Set Up A Tent

  • To install your tent in a big, level space, clear the area of any sticks, pebbles, pinecones, or other debris that may have accumulated there. These things are not only unpleasant to sleep on, but they also have the potential to puncture your tent. When it rains, stay away from low and sunken portions of the land since they can get very flooded. When sleeping, position the tent so that your head is on the uphill side of the hill. Some tents come with a groundcloth or “footprint,” which you will use to put up the tent on after it has been delivered. Alternatively, if your tent does not come with a built-in tarp, a waterproof tarp can suffice
  • However, make sure to tuck any extra tarp under so that it does not gather water rather than repel it. Install the groundcloth first, and then erect your tent in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

It is much simpler to set up a tent than you would assume. You should practice at home so that you are a pro when you go to the park. Denali National Park and PreserveNPS is the site of this photograph. Kent Miller contributed to this photograph.

RVs and Campers

The use of RVs and towed campers is permitted in all national parks that have the necessary facilities. RV and towed camper sites differ from one park to the next (for example, pull-through campsites vs back-in campsites), and there may be space restrictions for campers with slide-outs. Always double-check with the park you’re going to see if there are any size limits or restrictions on the number of RV and towed camper sites available. Visitors should be aware of the responsibilities associated with driving and operating an RV or camper.

Always double-check with the park you’re visiting for information on site accommodations and RV/camper size restrictions before arriving. Joshua Tree National Park was the setting for this photograph. Photo courtesy of the National Park Service

Plot

Elmer Fudd, driving his Ford Model Tjalopyto a Congabeat, is on his way to Jellostone National Park (a play on the words Yellowstone National Park), where he is looking forward to obtaining some much-needed sleep. To prepare his campsite, Elmer starts by lighting a bonfire, then hanging a mirror on a tree and a washbasin on a table underneath it. He next puts up his tent and hangs a hammock over his head. In fact, the tent lies precisely over Bugs Bunny’s rabbit hole (just as Elmer arrived, Bugs had put up a sign next to his hole stating “Camp Here” and then returned into his lair, covering the entrance with grass as he went).

  • Elmer climbs down and, despite the opposition from below, manages to collect the tent, which is tangled in knots on the ground.
  • “) and puts Elmer’s hat over his eyes to conceal himself.
  • After numerous failed efforts, Elmer finally manages to free his hands only to discover that his fingers are knotted together.
  • Using a balloon, Bugs grows to reach the size of Elmer and repeats everything Elmer had said, referring to it as “phooey.” Elmer then relaxes into his hammock and goes fast asleep, murmuring to himself during the process.
  • When it awakens Elmer, he assumes it is evening since everything appears to be in shadowy darkness.
  • When Elmer doesn’t respond, Bugs removes his spectacles and crows, causing Elmer to assume it is the dawn of the next day.
  • Elmer is following the towel blindly (“I do this kind of stuff to him all through the picture”, Bugsconfides to the audience).

Elmer is taken aback when he finds he is in mid-air while admiring the magnificent vista of the Grand Canyon.

Bugs then admits that he is the one who is doing these pranks and flees, with an enraged Elmer chasing after him after collecting a rifle from his tent.

When the bear begins to growl, Elmer consults a wildlife handbook for help, which instructs him to pretend to be dead until the animal retreats.

” — his feet), Bugs jumps atop Elmer and begins roaring in the same manner as the bear.

The bear reappears, and Bugs flees just as Elmer swings the gun, clobbering the bear rather than the rabbit in the process.

As soon as the bear is knocked off Elmer’s back by a tree branch, Elmer surrenders and loads everything into his car (almost including a huge tree).

He declares the park’s promise of “a restful retreat” to be “bawoney!” and, in order to teach the park not to advertise falsely, he chops the sign to pieces with an ax and stomps on the pieces while calling the park’s promises of “peace and wewaxation” “wubbish!” In comes a ranger, who wears an angry expression on his face and appears to be accompanying Bugs.

West and wewaxation at wast” and that “anyway” he is “wid of that gwizzwy bear and scwewy wabbit!” Unfortunately, when he turns around, he discovers that he has been forced to share his cell with both Bugs and the black bear.

They both inquire as to how long he will be imprisoned (“Pardon me, but, how long ya in for, Doc?” they inquire).

Production

Elmer was rebuilt as an obese guy for the animation (based on the physical characteristics of voice actor Arthur Q. Bryan) in an attempt to make him more amusing. The “fat Elmer” would only make three more appearances in theLooney Tunes/Merrie Melodiescanon – The Wabbit Who Came to Supper, The Wacky Wabbit, andFresh Hare, as well as a cameo appearance in the war bond advertisementAny Bonds Today?– before reverting to the slimmer form by which he is better known, for The Hare-Brained Hypnotist.

This is the sole cartoon featuring the “fat” version of Elmer that has retained its copyright status; the other “fat Elmer” cartoons are now considered to be part of the public domain.

Reception

David Gerstein, an animation historian, argues, “Wabbit Twoublerepresents a variation on thetricksterof tale and myth who does not hesitate to pester before tricking others into doing so. Clampett’s Bugs enjoys intruding into other people’s lives, especially when those individuals appear to be easy targets, like in the case of Elmer the Elf. As soon as Elmer is introduced, Bugs quickly recognizes him as the perfect patsy and mocks his girth and mannerisms. Some people, in the opinion of the traditional trickster, are just deserving of a difficult life.” The still frame from the short film “Big Chungus,” which has come to be recognized as such.

A fictitious video game titled Big Chungus(with “chungus” being an aneologism coined by video game journalistJim Sterling in 2012)which featured the still was the inspiration for the meme, which was popularized by a Facebook post by aGameStopmanager inColorado Springs, who claimed that a customer had inquired about purchasing the fictional game as a gift for her son.

It was announced in April 2021 that the character will be included in the mobile game Looney Tunes World of Mayhem.

How to Clean a Tent

As you open the storage room in the garage and begin to unload your belongings, you recall your most recent camping trip and grin fondly at the memory of the experience. You recall the excellent fishing, the breathtaking landscape, and even the soothing rain that soothed you to sleep the night before you packed your belongings and returned to your hometown. I’m curious, though, about the fragrance emanating from the closet. It has a musty smell about it, and it is definitely stinky. The telltale powder gray-green blossoms of mold and the black streaks of mildew can be seen in the sack that contains your tent when you approach it at the end of your journey.

  1. Uh-oh.
  2. However, it is the cleaning portion of the camping experience that is the most delightful.
  3. Here are some simple tent maintenance suggestions to make your next camping trip more fun and to ensure that your tent lasts for a longer period of time: 1.
  4. Just before you begin to dismantle the tent, take a few minutes to brush out the interior to ensure that there is no dirt, mud, pebbles, bugs, food, or garbage left within.
  5. After that, sweep the outside of the house to remove any rain, dew, leaves, or twigs.
  6. This includes the tent pegs and poles; there should be nothing within the tent otherwise.
  7. Brush the underside of the floor as well, to ensure that sand, grit, and pebbles do not become folded inside the floor.
  8. Once the tent is folded, store it in its storage bag or store it somewhere where it won’t get filthy and ruin anything else.
  9. You don’t have to do this after every camping trip, but you should absolutely do it after exceptionally dirty or rainy trips, and you should definitely do it towards the conclusion of the camping season.
  10. Check to see that all of the window and door flaps are closed.
  11. Next, hose down the interior, if it’s unclean, as well as the outside, to remove any dust or grime that may have accumulated.

A good opportunity to clean tent stakes and poles is also at this time of year. Afterwards, shake the tent to remove any remaining water from the inside and outside, and elevate the back corners to drain as much water as possible from the tent’s inside.

The Big Tent Meme Generator

Color with a lot of transparency. Because this image features transparency, it was used as a backdrop. To make a modification, click here. Please keep in mind that the font may be adjusted per textbox by selecting the gear icon. You should know that your captioned memes will be kept on your account if you follow this advice:

What is the Meme Generator?

It is a free online image builder that allows you to customize templates by adding custom resizable text, photos, and other elements. A common application of the generator is to personalize pre-existing memes, such as those available in Imgflip’s collection ofMeme Templates, for example. You may, however, upload your own templates or start from over with blank templates if you prefer that option.

How to make a meme

  1. Select a template for your project. If you don’t want to use one of the popular templates, you may browse among over 1 million user-uploaded templates using the search field, or you can press “Upload new template” to upload your own design from your device or a link. If you’re starting from scratch, look for “empty” or “blank” templates on the internet. Customizations can be made. Text, photos, stickers, doodles, and space may be added to your meme canvas using the buttons located beside it. Make something and share it with others. After clicking “Generate Meme,” you’ll be able to pick how to share and keep your meme. Alternatively, you may share to social media applications or through your phone, or you can send a link, or you can download to your device. It’s also possible to share with one of the numerous meme groups on Imgflip.

How can I customize my meme?

  • Dragging and dropping the text boxes will allow you to move and resize them. If you’re using a mobile device, you may need to first select the “allow drag/drop” box in the More Options area of the menu before proceeding. By clicking on the Add Text button, you may create as many more text boxes as you desire. You may change the color of the font and the outline color right close to where you input your text. The font for each text box may be further customized by selecting the gear icon located next to the text entry. Including the normal Windows, Mac, and web fonts (including strong and italic), Imgflip may display images in any font that is installed on your computer or smartphone. Additionally, over 1,300 free typefaces are supported across all platforms. Any other font you like can be used if you first install it on your device and then enter in the font name on Imgflip
  • However, this will need additional steps. Scumbag hats, deal-with-it sunglasses, and other visuals, such as speech bubbles, may be added to your design using common or bespoke stickers and photos. Image transparency and scaling are available, and you may quickly create pictures by pressing CMD/CTRL + C/V while holding down the CMD/CTRL key. You have the ability to rotate, flip, and crop any templates that you submit. You can use the panel right above the meme preview picture to draw, sketch, or write on your meme
  • However, this is not recommended. The “below current picture” feature allows you to build “meme chains” of many photos stacked vertically by adding additional images below the current image. Using Imgflip Proor, you may remove our modest imgflip.com watermark (as well as eliminate advertisements and boost your picture creating powers).

Can I use the generator for more than just memes?

Yes! The Meme Generator is a versatile tool that may be used for a variety of tasks. Posters, banners, advertising, and other custom graphics may be created by uploading original photos and making use of all of the customization options available to you.

Can I make animated or video memes?

Yes! When you search for animated meme templates in the Meme Generator above, you will see a list of results (try “party parrot”). However, if you are unable to locate the meme you are looking for, you may explore all of theGIF Templates or create and save your own animated template using theGIF Maker.

Do you have a wacky AI that can write memes for me?

It’s amusing that you inquire. We do, in fact, have one. Here’s everything you need to know: images on flipboard/ai-meme (warning, may contain vulgarity)
