Simple Needs GA
With our goal, we hope to address the basic needs of children, persons suffering homelessness, and those in need, while also encouraging others in our community to do so as well. While the groups that engage with these vulnerable populations do excellent work, the majority of them are focused on meeting their most basic needs, such as food, clothes, housing, and job training. SNGA aspires to “plug in the gaps” by addressing other unmet, but critical, needs in the community. It is through these little acts of kindness, such as delivering a tent to a person who is camping in the woods or giving birthday gifts to a homeless kid, that we are able to link individuals with the programs that may make a difference in their lives.
The following are our guidelines for furniture donations.
Shoe Them Love: New shoes for impoverished children so that they are no longer forced to wear only hand-me-down clothing.
The children are so enthused that they decide to retain the box!
Residents of local homeless shelters, who frequently come with little more than the clothing on their backs, can benefit from Comfort Kits, which are duffel bags stuffed with full-sized toiletries and other essentials.
Uniforms for Excellence: This organization assists Cobb County kids in “dressing for success” by giving them the mandatory school uniforms that their families are unable to purchase.
Alternatively, they provide funds to cover the cost of purchasing brand-new uniforms.

- It is our purpose to provide for the basic necessities of children, those who are homeless, and others in need, while also motivating others in our community to do the same. However, while organizations that help with these vulnerable groups do excellent work, the majority of them are focused on meeting their most basic needs, which include food, clothes, shelter, and job training. Through the provision of additional unmet, but critical, requirements, the SNGA hopes to “fill in the gaps.” People are helped to connect with resources that can improve their life when they do simple things like delivering a tent to a person who is living in the woods or giving birthday gifts to a homeless youngster. Furniture, mattresses, and other household things are provided to those who have just emerged from homelessness in order for them to make their new home or apartment seem like “home.” Clients who qualify for food stamps are also given cleaning kits, which contain products that are not covered by the program. Listed below are our guidelines for furniture donation. It’s Important That I Have a Birthday : Homeless children’s wish lists are gathered by school social workers and shelter employees, after which we give them with birthday gifts and other practical necessities. Shoe Them Love: New shoes for impoverished children so that they are no longer forced to wear only hand-me-down clothes. We accept $25 gift cards or new shoes in exchange for your donation of time. Even the box is kept by the children, who are overjoyed. When it comes to Christmas, the Spirit of Christmas “fills in the gaps” by providing assistance to families in Cobb County who were unable to register for other local programs such as the MUST Toy Shop, Cobb Christmas, or Toys for Tots. Residents in local homeless shelters, who frequently come with little more than the clothes on their backs, can benefit from Comfort Kits, which are duffel bags stuffed with full-sized toiletries and other essentials. The Simply Sheltered program provides persons facing homelessness with critical supplies such as tents, sleeping bags, tarps, candles, and other necessities. In order to help Cobb County pupils “dress for success,” Uniforms for Excellence provides them with needed school uniforms that their families cannot afford. Gentle used khakis, skirts, and polo shirts are provided by generous donors to fit the specific needs of each institutions. As an alternative, they provide funds to cover the cost of purchasing brand-new uniforms.
weatherHYDE
This is the world’s first all-weather, lifesaving shelter for the homeless and vulnerable, and it is called JourneyweatherHYDE. In 2013, the terrible Indian riots resulted in the deaths of 30 displaced children due to hypothermia, prompting the organization’s formation. After conducting a thorough analysis of the available options, we set out to design something better: a stand-alone shelter that reduces weather-related deaths. The weatherHYDE project has received support from more than 10,000 funders, volunteers, and well-wishers, and has attracted more than 100 million media impressions throughout the world.
But, perhaps more crucially, we are reminded every day of the words of people like Khushi, a 23-year-old mother and weatherHYDE beneficiary who says, “This is my first house in 23 years.” Our ability to make a difference has been made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
Thank you to all of our friends who have placed their trust in us. We look forward to continuing to receive your support. If you are interested in purchasing a weatherHYDE for your community or ordering a sample for yourself, please send an email to [email protected] with your request.
When it comes to addressing activities, errands, projects, and so on, my impulse is to toss the idea of accomplishing anything at all out the window, rather than doing what is achievable or even simply simple and straightforward. The prospect of not having enough time to thoroughly clean my room may dissuade me from making my bed, which would go a long way toward making the space tidy, and therefore encouraging me to really accomplish the task at hand. In addition, I’ve been attempting to return to a regular exercise routine.
For the past few months, I’ve been putting aside $75 every week.
However, although the value may change, the thinking does not.
The feedback and sentiments expressed in response to my piece have left me feeling very humbled.
London Homeless Info
“Ending homelessness, reclaiming lives” is a complete fabrication. St Mungo’s is the homeless organization that homeless people in London despise the most. Mentioning St Mungo’s to anyone who is or has been homeless can elicit a great deal of trauma and resentment from them. The majority of homeless persons have a negative experience with St Mungo’s to share with you. St Mungo’s was the starting point. Continue reading if you want to know more. Under One Sky has received more than £250,00 in donations for the homeless, despite the fact that they have illegally failed to register with the Charity Commission.
They have been in operation since 2012, but did not register with Companies House until November 2018, which was a violation of the law.
Obviously, the money is going to Under One Sky director Mikkel Juel Iversen’s bank account.
Because, let’s face it, it’s unlikely that homeless charity would ever create a website to provide us a platform to express ourselves.

ALERT: Important Change to Public Charge Rule
Because of changes in federal policy, immigrants and their families in California can now seek and receive medical treatment, food aid, and public housing without fear or misunderstanding about the ramifications of being charged with a crime or receiving public help. The Department of Homeland Security has announced that it will revert to practices in place prior to the 2019 Public Charge Final Rule being finalized and implemented. Consequently, membership in CalFresh, public housing, or Medi-Cal (save for long-term care) will not be taken into account when determining whether or not to impose a public fee.
In addition, please review the following for extra information:
- Health and human services officials from California issued a joint statement in reaction to federal changes to the public charge formulas. Individuals and families with questions regarding these changes in federal policy should consult the Public Charge Guide, which includes the following resources: (In English) (In Spanish)
- The All County Letter, which offers further information on these changes in federal policy, is available here.
Anyone seeking assistance in California is recommended to contact one of the several state-funded groups that provide legal services to undocumented workers and immigrants. See a list of immigration service providers who are supported by the CDSS.
