Doctor Who Tardis Play Tent

Amazon.com: Doctor Who Extendable 60 Tardis Tent : Toys & Games

The product was reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2013 and it was verified as a purchase. This TARDIS tent is quite amazing, and it’s fairly huge as well. I will warn everyone, though, that it comes in around 1 million small parts, and that it will require at least three adults and a 12-pack of beer to assemble. Believe me when I say that you will require it. If you don’t join the poles exactly properly and in the proper order, it will break apart somewhere else every time you put the pieces back together again.

There are still three sections that haven’t been connected.

We were ultimately able to come to terms.

It is not the case).

  1. It is necessary to stretch the parts apart from one another in order to secure them in place at the corner joints.
  2. It is also necessary to have a beer.
  3. As a result, you can open it up and carry it through doors, up and down stairs, and wherever else you need to go without worrying about it collapsing.
  4. It’s absolutely worth the time and effort it takes to put it all together in the end.
  5. Who birthday party.

My husband had no trouble putting it together; I think I might have held one component for him for a minute or two and then left him to his own devices:) When you learn that the form is made up of two triangles joined together rather than a square or rectangle, I believe everything makes a lot more sense.

  • The photographs taken from the inside turned out really well (we particularly liked the inside images—bigger it’s on the inside, after all:) and the tent was an excellent choice for a photo booth.
  • On August 30, 2014, it was reviewed in the United States and verified as a purchase.
  • When I initially started putting it together, the material began to rip, and I should have returned it at that point.
  • No objects were dropped on it, however numerous of the fittings cracked or shattered when we were attempting to transport it to and from the vehicle.
  • I’m going to do my hardest to create a PVC frame; however, I don’t believe they manufacture the fitting in PVC; but, I’ll try my hardest to make it work with a slip joint because my kid is quite attached to his TARDIS.
  • This was purchased for my granddaughter’s 6th birthday, and she really loved it!
  • My kid had to reassemble the frame using PVC pipe and a hammer.

If it hadn’t been for the frame, I would have rated it 5 stars.

This is a well-constructed piece.

It will take around 20 minutes.

It can, however, be simply relocated from one room to another or outside.

The colors on the interior were very bright and off-kilter.

On December 14, 2014, it was reviewed in the United States and verified as a purchase.

Who fans, and they loved it.

On January 15, 2014, it was reviewed in the United States and verified as a purchase.

Very easy to construct and a great way to stimulate the mind. I read several reviews and found it amusing to see how technologically incapable some people are. As a result of those reviews, I almost didn’t purchase this product. It was simple to put together and only took less than 10 minutes.

Top reviews from other countries

On February 10, 2013, a review was published in the United States, confirming the purchase. There’s nothing quite like a TARDIS tent, especially one that’s this big! We should all be aware that it comes in around 1 million small parts and that it will take at least 3 persons and a 12-pack of beer to assemble it properly. You will require it, believe me. It will come apart somewhere else every time you put components together if you don’t join the poles precisely and in the correct order. No, please don’t ask me what the proper sequence is because I haven’t figured it out yet.

  1. **NEW ADDITION** Everything came together in the end.
  2. Obviously, this isn’t the case.
  3. To secure the pieces in place at the corners, you must first stretch them away from one another.
  4. In addition, beer is required.
  5. It’s built to last, so you can open it up and carry it through doors, up and down stairs, and wherever else you need to go without worrying about it crashing down.
  6. Get it together is absolutely worth the time and effort you put in to get it done well.
  7. Who birthday party, we set up this tent as a photo booth.

My husband had no trouble putting it together; I think I only held one component for him for about a minute and then let him to figure it out on his own.

It was a huge hit with the audience!

On August 30, 2014, a verified purchase was reviewed in the United States.

When I was first putting it together, the material started to rip, and I should have returned it at that point instead of later.

The only thing that happened was that some of the fittings cracked or broke when being moved to and from the vehicle.

Since my kid is so enthusiastic about his TARDIS, I’m going to try my best to create a PVC frame.

Verified Purchase on May 14, 2014 in the United States of America.

The downside is that the framework is quite flimsy; after only three days, it completely collapsed.

I had hoped for more for the price, but the essential thing is that my granddaughter is having a fantastic imagined adventure with her sisters as they travel all around the cosmos on their spacecraft.

Verified Purchase on May 8, 2014 in the United States of America Exceptionally well-constructed.

It will take around 20 minutes to complete the procedure.

But it’s lightweight and portable, so you can take it from room to room or outside with you.

Verified Purchase It was very bright and off-color inside.

Verified Purchase on December 14, 2014 in the United States of America My nieces, who are Dr.

It was a big hit with the ladies.

Very easy to construct and a great way to stimulate your mind.

I read many reviews and found it amusing to see how technologically incompetent individuals can be. As a result of those reviews, I almost didn’t purchase this product. Constructing it took less than 10 minutes and required no special tools.

Tardis Tent Playhouse – 80s Doctor Who Toys

That one Saturday morning excursion to Woolworths and realizing that you could purchase a Tardis Tent will remain etched in my memory forever. Discovering this Tardis Tent brought back fond memories of my childhood fascination with Doctor Who.

It was like discovering the ultimate Doctor Who toy. My mother had even purchased one for me; my goodness, I was going to have a great time when I returned home. The Tardis Tent Playhouse was created by Dekker Toys and published in 1982.

What Was the Tardis Tent?

To be quite honest, the Tardis Tent was nothing more than a typical plastic children’s Wendy House. In contrast, this blue tent was slightly more than 4 feet tall, with an inflatable Tardis Light on top, a window, and an inside control panel that was part of the artwork on the inner walls. Construction of the tent was accomplished by connecting plastic tubes with connectors to form a frame for the blue Tardis plastic sheet to be used as a cover for it.

Let’s Take a look at the Tardis Tent Box

On the front of the box, there are three youngsters dressed like Doctor Who characters. A guy dressed as the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison was the Doctor at the time) and two females, one dressed as Tegan and the other dressed as Nyssa, participated in the costume contest. Tegan and Nyssa were, of course, the fifth Doctor’s companions on his journey. The box also specifies the product’s overall dimensions, which are 61cm wide by 61cm high and 122cm high.

My Memories

As previously indicated, I have vivid memories of discovering the Tardis Playhouse in our neighborhood Woolworths. In the early 1980s, a certain amount of creativity was required, but that didn’t stop me from having a good time with my Tardis and playing Doctor Who. I had a lot of fun getting inside it and pretending to be in command of the Tardis while going on fantasy adventures. It was a lot of fun to play with and could be used both outside and indoors. Unfortunately, it did not outlast my youth, and I believe that when the plastic tubes were deteriorated over the years, it was finally thrown away.

Thinking of Buying a Tardis Playhouse?

It’s not simple to get a good deal on something that I don’t believe cost a lot of money when it was first released in 1982, but it’s not impossible. Following a search on EBay, I discovered just one Tardis Tent for sale from the 1980s, which was packaged and intact, but was being offered for sale for £139. I decided to look at sales prices and discovered that one sold on EBay in May 2021 for £190, which was even more expensive than the one I’d seen previously. If you happen to come across one of them at a car boot sale or in a charity store, make sure to take advantage of it.

If it’s okay with you, how about downloading the gun powder plot onto your school’s computers so that it can be used for Halloween and bomb fire night? If I could go back in time, I’d say yeh brilliant, but I’m in my fourth year, so your idea is amazing, and I wish you the best of luck. Brianna 11:23 a.m. on November 7th, 2011. My dream is that one of my instructors would utilize Doctor Who as a teaching tool, joking aside. Wouldn’t that be fantastic?
