The Tamborine Mountain Caravan and Camping ground is situated in Thunderbird Park. The only caravan park on the mountain, TMC&C is a tourist complex in Tamborine Mountain Road containing several enterprises including:- horse riding and Thunderegg mining (featured a while back on Channel 7's "Better Homes & Gardens"). All of these activities are within walking distances of campers, along with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. A freshwater creek is within walking distance of the caravan park and it has many swimming holes, a great place to cool down on a hot day. Open fires are allowed (in the designated areas), you can bring your own wood, collect fallen branches or purchase wood from the shop. The park is only minutes from Tamborine Mountain gallery walk with its many attractions, National Parks, craft shops and art galleries, cafes and restaurants and wineries.
